Is it allowed to give yourself a present for your birthday? Yes, if you propose to share. And what is to be shared here, is the fifth release by the Hamburg based record label Fauxpas Musik. Just in time for their first anniversary they publish Desolates debut album “The Invisible Insurrection”. In January 2009 his first EP has been released and now the time has come for his first LP, of course this imprint is pressed on vinyl.
The dark but dynamic sounds of Burial and the spheric spacy atmosphere of Boards of Canada seem to be basic inspiration for Desolate. “The Invisible Insurrection” will be available in a limited 180g vinyl edition plus a bonus cd. Vinyl tastes better...
